The Supreme People's Court of PRC revoked the first-instance and second-instance judgments and remand for retrial, and did not initiate the retrial because the patent involved in the case was invalid.

Since this case, the Supreme People's Court of PRC has unified the principle of determining the defendants in similar cases, that is, it requires that the defendants in a patent ownership dispute case should include all inventors (designers), so as to avoid the change of the ownership of the relevant patent without other inventors (designers) participating in the litigation or even without their knowledge.
