On the afternoon of November 20, 2024, Attorney Lawrence Wang of the ACIES Team was invited to participate in the training event "Practical Guide to IP Protection, Strategic Planning, and Dispute Resolution for Enterprises Going Global", organized by the Haikou Municipal Market Supervision Administration (Municipal Intellectual Property Office). He delivered a lecture titled "Intellectual Property Risks and Response Strategies for Chinese Enterprises Investing in ASEAN" to Haikou-based businesses.
Attorney Wang’s session began with a brief overview of ASEAN and its intellectual property regimes, followed by an in-depth analysis of common IP risks faced by Chinese enterprises in the region through real-world case studies; it concluded with practical strategies for risk prevention alongside actionable measures and recommendations to address IP disputes in ASEAN markets.
